As a Lead Test Engineer you will lead a test team that will work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters. You will test, analyze, evaluate, verify and validate these systems, leveraging established system requirements, and identify areas requiring urgent mitigation up‑front and early to develop this system with advanced technology solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a test team in the development and rapid deployment of Missile Warning (MW) capabilities.
  • Test, analyze, evaluate, verify, and validate systems using established system requirements.
  • Identify and address areas requiring urgent mitigation early in the development cycle.
  • Merge innovative engineering methodologies and cross‑disciplinary coordination to create future solutions.
  • Develop and maintain large‑scale system test plans and overarching test and evaluation strategy documents, including TES, TEMP, SITP, EVP, VCRM, and RVFs.
  • Participate in the execution, verification, and analysis of test programs.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with government clients, FFRDCs, contractors, and teammates to achieve program goals.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience leading test and evaluation or system integration on major defense acquisition programs, including complex ground software and hardware systems.
  • 10+ years of experience working in a collaborative team environment, developing test strategies, plans, reports, and briefings, and participating in test execution, verification, or analysis.
  • Experience supporting overall engineering integration of systems engineering and integration efforts for the DoD, government agencies, or commercial programs.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Technology.
  • Secret clearance (required).
Nice to Have
  • Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on ground‑based remote sensing systems.
  • Experience with portfolio and program verification, interoperability, validation, certification, and operational acceptance.
  • Experience planning, executing, and reporting testing with the Lead Developmental Test Organization or the Operational Test Agency.
  • Experience planning and executing program reviews throughout the lifecycle of the system.
  • Experience using Model‑Based Systems Engineering tools to manage system definitions, technical baselines, and requirements verification.
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01, 5000.02, 5000.89, 5000.98, or .
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Technology.
  • CTEP or INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications such as ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP.
Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
Secret clearance is required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary for this position is $86,900.00 to $ (annualized USD), depending on location, experience, education, and contract specifics. The typical range is part of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.
