Senior Electronic Engineer

We are seeking a senior-level Electronic Engineer for a role supporting a government program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and repair of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). This position requires a strong background in metrology and the ability to work in a secure, on-site laboratory environment.

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Electronic Engineer for a role supporting a government program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and repair of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE). This position requires a strong background in metrology and the ability to work in a secure, on-site laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calibrate laboratory working standards and customer TMDE using manual and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
  • Use TMDE to perform voltage, current, resistance, impedance, power, frequency, temperature, physical/dimensional, and fiber optic measurements.
  • Overhaul, modify, repair, and certify TMDE using electronic theory and advanced principles of metrology.
  • Maintain a TMDE recall database and enter information for records keeping and traceability.
  • Research technical information and order required parts using appropriate procurement systems.
  • Interact with system engineers and customers to provide technical guidance.

Required Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent experience in a related technical discipline. The equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience is also acceptable.

Experience:

5+ years of directly related experience in the field.

Clearance:
An active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph security clearance is required for this position due to the sensitive nature of the work for the government client.

Certifications:

Applicable Military Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) training and certifications are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in metrology techniques, software, and laboratory practices for calibration, verification, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various TMDE assets.
  • A foundation in mathematics for performing calculations and interpreting numerical data.
  • Understanding of advanced electrical, electronic, and microwave measurement principles.
  • Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office products, Fluke MET/Team, Fluke MET/CAL, and Keysight TME.
  • Understanding of and experience with American National Standards for Calibration, including ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, ANSI/NCSL Z540.3-2006, and ANS/ISO/IEC 17025:2005A.
  • Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including lifting 35 pounds unassisted.
  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
