Sr Systems Engineer - Onsite

Overview

Sr Systems Engineer on a on-site program located in Aurora, CO. This role requires active DoD TS/SCI security clearance prior to start date, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for a security clearance. The position involves requirements analysis, architecture and design elaboration, system engineering analyses, interface control, test planning, and verification and validation activities on a premier program.

• Provide technical analyses and define how the system works using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team.
• Propose capability and feature designs to the software engineering team in support of agile development.
• Provide engineering support for the execution of part of the program’s test program, including test processes, baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation.
• Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline.
• Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with systems engineering lifecycle and roles, including Con Ops development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation.
• Experience on a government contract with systems engineering or integration and test.
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued DoD TS/SCI clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

• Experience in an Agile development environment and with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Experience in mission management ground systems.
• Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler).
• Experience with requirements management in DOORS or other requirements databases.
• Experience developing and deploying software in a cloud environment.
• Experience writing, running, and integrating automated tests and developing scripts in Python or Perl.
