Systems Engineer
Overview
Sr Systems Engineer on a on-site program located in Aurora, CO. This role requires active DoD TS/SCI security clearance prior to start date, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for a security clearance. The position involves requirements analysis, architecture and design elaboration, system engineering analyses, interface control, test planning, and verification and validation activities on a premier program.
Responsibilities- Provide technical analyses and define how the system works using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Decompose requirements, define system interfaces, and help determine how requirements will be validated and verified by the test team.
- Propose capability and feature designs to the software engineering team in support of agile development.
- Provide engineering support for the execution of part of the program’s test program, including test processes, baseline definition, test architecture design, verification, and validation.
- Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline.
- Support and attend technical reviews and technical interchanges in support of the program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with systems engineering lifecycle and roles, including Con Ops development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation.
- Experience on a government contract with systems engineering or integration and test.
- Active and transferable U.S. government-issued DoD TS/SCI clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
- Experience in an Agile development environment and with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Experience in mission management ground systems.
- Experience with MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo Systems Modeler).
- Experience with requirements management in DOORS or other requirements databases.
- Experience developing and deploying software in a cloud environment.
- Experience writing, running, and integrating automated tests and developing scripts in Python or Perl.
