Application Engineer

Responsible for the design, development, and support of Building Management System (BMS) and SCADA applications for commercial and mission-critical facilities. Develop and maintain supervisory control applications, implement controller programming, and provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop BMS and SCADA applications using industry-leading automation platforms, including Niagara, Ignition, Wonderware, Distech, and PLC-based systems.
• Create intuitive operator interfaces, system graphics, alarm strategies, trend logs, tagging structures, and historical data management to improve system visibility and performance.
• Develop and optimize control sequences for HVAC and mechanical systems using DDC programming principles and industry best practices.
• Integrate field devices and third-party equipment using communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, SNMP, and MQTT.
• Provide remote engineering support to project managers, commissioning teams, and field technicians during installation, startup, and system commissioning.
• Troubleshoot complex control system issues involving software, controllers, networking, and communications to ensure reliable system operation.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of engineering standards, programming templates, naming conventions, and application documentation.
• Configure controllers, supervisory servers, and networked devices while supporting IP addressing, subnetting, serial communications, and network commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated automation solutions that meet client requirements, project schedules, and quality standards.
• Support mission-critical environments by ensuring high system availability, operational reliability, and compliance with project specifications.
