Sr Sys Engineer - Mission Management

Raytheon, an RTX business, is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a premier satellite ground systems program in Aurora, CO. The role requires on‑site presence and a U.S. citizenship with a current, active DoD TS/SCI clearance.

• Provide technical analyses and define system behavior using Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
• Decompose system requirements, define system interfaces, and determine validation and verification pathways for integration and test.
• Develop capability and feature designs that support Agile software engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support execution of the program's Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) activities, including test process development, baseline definition, test architecture, verification, and validation.
• Support regression testing across deliverable releases to the program baseline.
• Participate in technical reviews, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings with internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with systems, software, integration, and test engineers to deliver mission‑critical satellite ground system capabilities.

• Required: BS in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and minimum 5 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Required: Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including Concept of Operations (Con Ops), requirements definition and management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, and verification/validation.
• Required: Experience supporting systems engineering or integration and test activities on a government contract.
• Required: Experience collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams on complex system development and integration.
• Required: Active, transferable DoD TS/SCI U.S. government‑issued clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Preferred: Experience in Agile environments using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket.
• Preferred: Experience with mission management or satellite ground systems.
• Preferred: Proficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Preferred: Proficiency with requirements databases such as DOORS.
• Preferred: Experience with technical subcontract management and Microsoft Office.

• Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 per year.
