Aramco seeks a Downstream Corrosion Engineer to safeguard critical assets supporting its global retail trade operations. You will lead corrosion risk assessments for pipelines, storage, and processing facilities, design monitoring and mitigation programs, and analyze inspection data to drive integrity decisions. Partnering with operations and technology teams, you will specify materials, coatings, and cathodic protection systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion data-driven, experimental approaches that enhance reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead corrosion risk assessments for downstream pipelines, tanks, and processing facilities
- Develop and implement corrosion monitoring and mitigation programs
- Analyze inspection, integrity, and failure data to recommend corrective actions
- Specify materials, coatings, and cathodic protection systems
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure asset integrity
- Support regulatory compliance and industry standards for corrosion control
- Prepare technical reports, integrity plans, and management presentations
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers
- Interface with vendors and contractors for inspection and mitigation services
- Drive continuous improvement using data-driven, experimental approaches
