Broadcast Quality Control Operator

Location: Aurora, CO
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Schedule: 24/7 Operation

Job Summary

We are seeking a Broadcast Quality Control Operator to help ensure television content meets technical and operational standards before and during transmission. The position will support a high-volume Network Operations environment and requires excellent attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to respond quickly to broadcast issues.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control of television programming before and during playout.
  • Monitor audio, video, captions, graphics, and overall picture quality.
  • Verify media assets are complete and ready for transmission.
  • Monitor multiple television streams for continuity and technical inconsistencies.
  • Identify and elevate potential on-air issues.
  • Support live programming and special events.
  • Assist with commercial rehearsals and commercial break execution.
  • Make approved changes to programming and automation playlists.
  • Support contingency workflows and recovery procedures.
  • Communicate issues and requested changes to production teams.
  • Coordinate with Operations Supervisors and fellow operators.
  • Maintain accurate operational awareness throughout each shift.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, Associate's Degree, relevant certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Background in broadcast, television production, digital media, post-production, or media operations.
  • Understanding of broadcast technical workflows.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to make rapid decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong verbal communication and teamwork.
  • Comfortable working repetitive monitoring tasks while maintaining focus.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and changing shifts.
  • Must work fully onsite in Aurora, CO.
  • Must have unrestricted U.S. employment authorization.

Preferred Experience: Master Control, Broadcast QC, Production Control Room, Playout, Transmission Operations, SNELL Morpheus, or Amagi.
