Tax Analyst

Salary & Bonus

Salary range: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 depending on experience, plus a 10% bonus opportunity.

This position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in office at our Aurora, Colorado location.

• Preparing and filing timely tax returns for a given segment of the business to the proper taxing authorities for property tax, multi‑state income/franchise taxes, sales/use taxes, GST/VAT taxes and gross receipts.
• Performing duties related to the issuances and renewals of business licenses and updating all secretary of state filings.
• Validating and processing exemption certificates for all tax exempt entities, with the ability to understand and support the determination of proper taxability of products and services sold to customers.
• Working with external and internal customers in a collaborative approach to establish and maintain good working relationships.
• Responding to tax jurisdiction notices and inquiries.
• Assisting and supporting with tax audits.
• Special project work as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• 2 years of relevant experience in tax research, tax return preparation, auditing or filing sales and use tax returns.
• Ability to exercise considerable judgement in tax issues and filings.
• Working knowledge of exemption certificate management systems.
• Working knowledge of sales and use taxation.
• Working knowledge of SAP and manufacturing industry a plus.
• Working knowledge of Avalara a plus.
