Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing of Journal Entries and Payroll Expense Transfers
  • Annual Funding processes
  • Participation in team meetings and divisional team meetings
  • Contract and payment processing, tracking, and invoicing
  • Monthly productivity report pulls and analysis in preparation for monthly meetings with medical/clinical directors and division/section administrators
  • The creation of ad hoc reports in My Bi
  • Other Duties as assigned

Hybrid (3 days per week on campus, as needed for in‑person meetings)

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • 1 year of professional experience in finance, accounting, or revenue cycle
Senior Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • 2 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, or revenue cycle
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year‑for‑year basis
  • An advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year‑for‑year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Business Administration
  • Experience working in an academic and/or healthcare finance environment
  • Experience using CU programs (Smartsheet, HCM, PowerBI, MyBi CU Marketplace, Concur Travel & Expense) or similar programs
  • Experience working with students, staff, and faculty in higher education and/or academic medical environment
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and evaluate a broad range of laws, rules, and regulations to support the department in maintaining fiscal policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally, including public speaking
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
  • Experience managing and handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
