Overview of Position / DepartmentThe Youth Violence Program Administrator, under the direction of the Intervention Programs Division Manager, oversees the youth violence prevention program to provide services to juveniles who are at‑risk or high‑risk and their families. The role coordinates with multiple community‑based organizations, governmental agencies, and law enforcement agencies.
PrimaryDuties & Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, implement, document, and manage strategies, goals, policies, procedures, and performance measures for the youth violence prevention program.
- Track and report progress on goals and performance measures and make recommendations for changes or improvements to achieve desired outcomes.
- Oversee daily operations of the youth violence prevention program.
- Manage the referral process for internal and external stakeholders to make referrals to the Youth Violence Prevention Program.
- Collaborate with city departments, community mental health agencies, community‑based organizations, and school districts to ensure coordination among juvenile system agencies and the youth violence prevention program regarding at‑risk juveniles.
- Build and maintain relationships with community members, school administrators, and partnering agencies; attend various meetings with each group.
- Oversee the financial and accounting operations of the Youth Violence Prevention Program, ensuring timely processing of accounts payables and providing accurate financial reports.
- Oversee grant management, monitoring, and compliance for youth violence funding.
- Serve as the Support & Outreach Working Group Lead for Aurora SAVE, the City’s violence intervention program.
- Oversee daily operations of and coordinate the Aurora SAVE Support & Outreach Working Group.
- Provide weekly reports for the Aurora SAVE team on actions and progress; act as the escalation point for complex issues and clients while mentoring and supporting the team.
- Attend department, division, and interdepartmental meetings; collaborate with the Community Engagement Division as needed for presentations to outside groups.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Sociology, Criminology, Psychology, Social Work, or a directly related field. - Experience:
- Two years of experience in youth violence prevention and/or intervention.
- Two years of experience in case management/resource navigation.
- Two years of experience in the development, implementation, and administration of programs.
- Knowledge:
- Structure, purpose, and administration of government and non‑profit grant programs.
- Data analysis and visualization.
- Policy development.
- Data management.
- Grant & budget management.
- Program management and implementation.
- Skills:
- Public speaking, research and writing, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Data analysis skills.

Certifications:
Colorado Driver’s License with a good driving record. - Physical Demands:
Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; requires clear vision, speech, hearing, and hand/eye coordination. - Work Environment:
Primarily indoors in a clean, comfortable office; occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Salary commensurate with experience; range $81,800.00 – $ per annum.
