The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for an experienced, innovative and driven Education Services Specialist, (NH-1740-02), to fill a Term position at the 460th Force Squadron (FSS) at Buckley Space Force Base (SFB) located in Aurora, CO. In this position you will plan, implement, administer, and advise on Education and Training Flight's (ET&F) academic opportunities, tuition assistance program, career and force development programs, and other education and training services and activities provided to military members, retirees, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian members, and their families.
This is a Term position, and current Federal civilian employees may apply. If selected, a break in service of at least 3 calendar days may be required prior to appointment to this position.

Salary Range is $40,332 - $96,116 Annually based on experience.

- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Must meet the positive education requirements as stipulated by US OPM for the 1740 occupation series.
- Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
- Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies and performance.
- Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
- Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
- Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
