Job SummaryThis position will primarily support the Oncology Clinical Research Support Team (OCRST). OCRST serves as a central resource and umbrella unit for all CU Cancer Center partner institutions, including University of Colorado Hospital, Children's Hospital and the Denver Veterans Administration Hospital. The resources and services provided by OCRST are aimed at supporting clinical research across the CU Cancer Center research enterprise and fostering collaboration as well as standard and efficient practices in the conduct of varied clinical research projects.
Key Responsibilities Examples of Work Performed (All Levels)- Provide program support to the Cancer Center - plan, organize, and coordinate events and other administrative program activities to ensure goals are met on time and within budget - including the Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) Incubator and IIT Committee meetings. (30%)
- Track the progression of upcoming events and provide/develop updates as needed.
- Prepare agendas, organize meetings, take meeting minutes, coordinate presenters, document reviews and approvals, disseminate decisions, create and maintain tracking and reporting tools and staff Cancer Center and OCRST meetings. (40%)
- Provide office-related procurement services for the Cancer Center including budget adherence, and vendor management for the various administrative groups.
- Oversee and direct publication of quarterly Principal Investigator (PI) and Clinical Research Newsletters.
- Manage the operational needs of the OCRST Program including serving as the primary point of contact for OCRST Initiatives for internal and external partners.
- Provide ongoing administrative and programmatic support to the leadership of the Cancer Center and OCRST Program, including maintaining the CU Cancer Center internal research resource website. (10%)
- Provide administrative support to the Associate Director of Clinical Research and Deputy Associate Director of Clinical Research as well as the OCRST program. (20%)
- Independently manage the logistics and finances of Cancer Center events, including sponsored external events, conferences, meetings, and various recruitment visits.
- Develop creative materials such as PowerPoint presentations, webpages, and other forms of communication materials for the Center.
- Create and maintain tracking and reporting tools for IIT, LAPS/NCTN, CSRN, Finance, ORIEN and Data Quality Programs within OCRST.
- Serve as administrative lead for Flatiron partnership. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining workflows, instructions or other guidance documents, tracking project progression and ensure projects are closed according to project timelines and contractual agreements.
- Provide direct operational support to the Cancer Center senior leadership.
- Assist Principal Investigators (PIs) in IRB submissions for Flatiron Explore projects.
- Independently facilitate process improvement projects for OCRST and the Cancer Center.
Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
