Position DetailsThis predominantly remote, full-time Clinical Research Professional will support the Ambulatory Health Promotion (AHP) program, located in the Office of Value Based Performance in the Division of General Internal Medicine. The purpose of AHP is to enhance preventive and chronic disease care via proactive outreach to CU Health (UCH) patients to ensure care guidelines are up to date. AHP has outreach programs in eight areas, including tobacco cessation.
This is an open-rank recruitment; candidates will be considered for the level that best aligns with their experience. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- Coordinate patient care by telephone.
- Develop, test, and improve AHP outreach and scheduling workflows.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations and posters for internal and external dissemination of AHP programs.
- Conduct literature reviews and general web searches on evidence-based care and guideline changes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend meetings as assigned.
- Participate in training of other AHP outreach coordinators as new hires are onboarded.
- Enroll study subjects and collect data from patients and/or health care providers.
- Import datasets into software applications such as Red Cap, R, STATA, and SAS for analysis and data cleaning.
- Generate summary reports for stakeholders, including providers, clinic staff, and health care administrators.
- May serve as backup for Ambulatory Nicotine Cessation Program's Program Manager.
Work Location: Onsite. This role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States and able to be in-person as needed at their own cost (introductory in-person training and monthly admin assistance).

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Entry Level:
- Bachelor's degree in any field (a combination of education and related experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis).
Intermediate Level:
- Bachelor's degree in any field (a combination of education and related experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis).
- One (1) year clinical research or related experience.
Senior Level:
- Bachelor's degree in any field (a combination of education and related experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis).
- Two (2) years clinical research or related experience.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science or health-related field (e.g., Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Pre-Med).
- Three (3) or more years of clinical research or related experience.
- Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., EMR/EHR).
- Database software experience (Red Cap, R, STAT, SAS).
- Health care certifications (e.g., Medical Assistant).
- Bilingual in English and languages such as Spanish, Amharic, Arabic, Korean, or Vietnamese.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and tools like Zoom.
- Knowledge of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to establish relationships with staff, patients, and providers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision; creative, proactive, and persistent.
- Professional and responsible demeanor.
