Job Summary:

This part-time (0.60 FTE) OBGYN (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) performs sonography by applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. This position is located in both Highlands Ranch and Parker Colorado.

Key Responsibilities:

  • At the direction of a qualified physician or advanced practice provider (APP), performs a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of ultrasonic equipment for the diagnosis of disease in humans.
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders to perform prescribed study.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and attending to all age-related physical, spiritual, and psychosocial needs.
  • Evaluates the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
  • When ordered, prepares, and administers contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in patient status as appropriate.

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Highlands Ranch, CO AND Parker, CO.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.
  • 2-3 years of ultrasound technician experience.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of ultrasound technician experience in an outpatient setting within specialty.
  • Bilingual, Spanish-speaking.
  • Valid Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification.
  • Kronos, Epic, and Health Stream experience.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
  • Registered as a Technologist (RT) and certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).…
