Job Summary
The Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking Advanced Practice Providers to provide clinical care on the Infectious Disease Consult Service and Infectious Diseases Group Practice Clinic. The position will focus on orthopedic infectious disease service and will include inpatient care on the consult service, with outpatient follow‑up in the IDGP clinic for people with HIV, general infectious diseases, and post‑hospital discharge patients requiring antimicrobial management including OPAT.
Key Responsibilities- Inpatient rounding focusing on the orthopedic infectious disease service.
- Orthopedic or general infectious disease hospital follow‑up visits in the outpatient clinic.
- Management of orthopedic infections in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Training as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Graduate degree (master's or doctorate) from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
- Board certified by ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA.
- Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
- Certified to see adults.
- At least one year of post‑training inpatient experience (a hospitalist fellowship is acceptable).
- Training as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- Graduate degree (master's or doctorate) from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
- Board certified by ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA.
- Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
- Certified to see adults.
- 2–3 years of post‑training inpatient experience (hospitalist fellowship acceptable).
- Training as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- NP must hold a Doctor of Nursing; PA must hold a Master's Degree from an accredited program.
- Board certified by ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA.
- Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
- Certified to see adults.
- 3–5 years of post‑training inpatient experience (hospitalist fellowship acceptable).
- Training as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- NP must hold a Doctor of Nursing; PA must hold a Master's Degree from an accredited program.
- Board certified by ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA.
- Eligible or licensed in Colorado.
- Certified to see adults.
- Five years or more of post‑training inpatient experience (hospitalist fellowship acceptable).
- Training as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
- NP must hold a Doctor of Nursing; PA must hold a Master's Degree from an accredited program.
- Board certified by ANNCC, AANPCB, or NCCPA.li>

- Certified to see adults.
- Seven years or more of post‑training inpatient experience (hospitalist fellowship acceptable).
- Experience in infectious diseases or orthopedics.
- Knowledge of general internal medicine.
- Excellent bedside manner and physical exam skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with other medical providers and disciplines.
