Job Summary:

This position provides Substance Use Disorder Evaluations for Denver Department of Human Services (DDHS) clients, and makes recommendations for any required substance abuse treatment,referrals for care, and identifies the level of care needed. This position is co-located, meaning work will be performed onsite attwo physical locations:
Denver Department of Human Services (DDHS),1200 Federal Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80204, as well as the ARTSParkside Clinic, 1620 Gaylord Street, Denver, Colorado 80206.Parking permit payment is required at DDHS but not at the ARTSParkside Clinic, and other work equipment such as computer equipment, internet connection and phone service are provided.

• Conduct Substance Use Disorder assessments, recommend appropriate interventions, consult with DDHS Case Workers, andenter data into the ICM system.
• Communicate among ARTS, Denver Department of Human Services(DDHS), and Signal ( a Behavioral Health Administrative Service Organizations) ) with professionalism and expertise, maintainingpositive interpersonal relationships.
• Attend ARTS team/staff meetings, trainings, and other events as directed by supervisor.
• Possess, maintain, and utilize strong knowledge of diagnostic impressions, according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5), as well as American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) placement criteria.
• Work closely with DDHS as part of an intervention team serving individuals involved with the social services, family court, and/or criminal justice systems.
• Provide SUD training and consultation for DDHS staff and other external stakeholders as appropriate.
• Provide referrals to patients for necessary, appropriate resources.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite with split time between offices in Denver, Colorado.

This position has a critical role in ARTS Adult Outpatient Clinics,as well as in the Denver Department of Human Services. In thisrole, the person will be actively involved in the success ofvarious strategic programs within the greater Metro Denver area.

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling,social work, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
• One (1) year of professional level experience working in asubstance use disorder treatment clinic/facility, which included medication-assisted treatment.
• Possess a valid registration in good standing with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) as a Certified Addictions Specialist (CAS), Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate(LPC-C), Social Worker Candidate…
