The Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences seeks a Clinical Pharmacist to provide shift coverage at services of the UCHealth/University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) on an as needed basis. The successful candidate will practice in partnership with other faculty at the School of Pharmacy. Responsibilities of clinical services at UCH include providing direct patient care to clinical teams, including daily rounding, medication management, and education of medicine teams.

Medication management includes pharmacokinetic and anticoagulation monitoring, order entry and verification, participation in antimicrobial stewardship activities, patient education, and discharge counseling. Other responsibilities at UCH include training of residents and/or students on rotation. Please note, this position is compensated on a per‑shift basis. No minimum number of shifts is guaranteed, and work will be scheduled based on departmental needs and mutual availability.

• Engage in providing exemplary evidence‑based clinical pharmacy services.
• Function as an interdisciplinary member of the clinical pharmacy team to support medication management activities.
• Establish collaborative working relationships with clinic providers and staff to become a valued and contributing team member.
• Work collaboratively with providers, clinic staff, and care managers to reduce adverse drug events and improve medication management and complex or high‑utilizing patients.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite at University of Colorado Hospital, and/or UCHealth and CU affiliated clinics in the Denver Metro Area.

• PharmD degree
• Must have completed PGY1 residency training
• Must currently hold pharmacist licensure in Colorado

• Advanced training through a PGY2 residency; equivalent previous practice experience may substitute for PGY2 residency training.
• Board certification in an area appropriate for training and experience, e.g., BCPS
• Previous experience in an academic setting
• Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record software
• Current or Previous employment, training, and/or credentialing through UCHealth or CU Medicine

• Knowledge of contemporary pharmacy practice (including general aspects of pharmacy practice as well as those specifically related to the area of critical care)
• Interpersonal skills

• Project management ability

Hiring range: $70.00/hr – $90.00/hr this position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non‑exempt.
