We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide both clinical and administrative support within a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient care, ensure efficient clinic operations, and deliver exceptional service while maintaining compliance with organisational policies and healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians, nurses, and healthcare providers with patient examinations and clinical procedures.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant health information.
- Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and supplies for patient visits.
- Administer medications, injections, vaccinations, and treatments as directed and within scope of practice.
- Perform specimen collection, processing, and basic laboratory procedures as required.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient follow‑up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and preventive health measures.
- Ensure exam rooms and clinical areas are clean, stocked, and compliant with infection control standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applications.
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician office, clinic, hospital, or ambulatory care setting.
- Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of laboratory specimen collection and processing.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required based on facility policy.
