The Department of Pediatrics, Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Psychologist (1.0 FTE/cFTE) at the Assistant Professor level to join the CCBD Wellness Team at Children's Hospital Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colorado. This position focuses on the provision of evidence-based psychological assessment, consultation, and intervention for children, adolescents, and families affected by cancer and blood disorders across inpatient, outpatient, and survivorship settings.
Psychology services are provided within a multidisciplinary psychosocial care model, in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, social work, child life, and other allied health professionals. The Assistant Professor Psychologist will contribute to the clinical, teaching, and scholarly missions of CCBD. Scholarly activities are encouraged and may include clinical research, quality improvement, or participation in collaborative research initiatives, but are not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care:
Provide direct psychological consultation, assessment, and intervention for pediatric patients with cancer and blood disorders and their families. Deliver evidence-based interventions including brief therapy, psychotherapy, group interventions, and consultation within interdisciplinary care teams. Conduct psychological assessments in support of clinical care and, as appropriate, research protocols (including Children's Oncology Group studies). Participate in inpatient and outpatient psychosocial care as clinically indicated. - Teaching and
Education:
Participate in the education and training of psychology externs, interns, and postdoctoral fellows through clinical supervision and didactic teaching. Support the academic training mission of the Department of Pediatrics and CCBD. - Scholarship and Academic Engagement:
Engage in scholarly activity consistent with an Assistant Professor appointment, which may include clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, program evaluation, manuscript preparation, or conference presentations. Collaborate with psychology and medical faculty on research related to pediatric oncology, hematology, survivorship, or psychosocial care. - Service:
Participate in divisional, departmental, or institutional service activities appropriate for faculty rank. Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and patient-centered team culture within CCBD.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.
