Job Summary And Qualifications
Pharmacy Technician I:
Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician I performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. These tasks may include but are not limited to non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets, unit dose drug preparation, delivering medications to patient care areas, checking medication storage areas for outdates, billing, and other duties as assigned.

- Licensure/Certification:
Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate
(PHATP).
If initially hired with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate, must achieve Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) and full DORA Pharmacy Technician License (PHAT) within 12 months of hire or by expiration of DORA issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.

High school diploma or equivalent - Experience:
Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred - Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
As defined in competencies; ability to work accurately with attention to detail. Possesses communication, teamwork, customer service, computer, problem solving and organizational skills. - Degree of Supervision
Required:
Minimal. Individual proceeds on his/her own initiative, in compliance with applicable policies, law, regulations, practices and procedures prescribed by his/her immediate supervisor. - Orientation Period:
Four to six weeks
