Compensation

Towne Park offers a competitive, fair, and commensurate pay structure. The hourly base pay for this position is $19 per hour plus tips. Compensation is based on skills, experience, education, training, and location.

Benefits

Eligibility depends on classification, tenure, and hours worked. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible for the outlined benefits, which are subject to change.

Summary

The Guest Service Captain orchestrates the service experience for hotel guests while working alongside coworkers to ensure the site’s service standards are met or exceeded. The position reports to the Account Manager and performs coordination, administration, and troubleshooting duties. The Captain is not a manager but may handle critical issues and make judgment calls as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, client staff members, and coworkers; acknowledge and greet guests within 30 seconds of arrival.
  • Open all entry points for guests, check in arriving guests and explain vehicle parking and retrieval procedures, and park and retrieve vehicles with caution.
  • Use proper phone etiquette, post in designated areas when not assisting guests, conduct effective room presentations for bell services, and assist with deliveries to guest rooms.
  • Provide directions, taxi arrangements, reservations, and other inquiries; keep detailed knowledge of client’s facility and local amenities.
  • Promote teamwork by leading by example and effective communication; assign routine roles and adjust staffing levels under direction of the Account Manager.
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys, collect claim checks prior to issuing keys, and complete ticket information for all vehicles entered into the valet system.
  • Secure all keys on a belt clip or in a locked key box; ensure wheels and wheelchairs are safe, clean, and provide her help without “lift” services.
  • Assist the Account Manager with schedule building and communicate changes to staff; collect revenue, complete cash drop slips, and reconcile revenue and tickets at shift’s end.
  • Complete accurate shift reports and other paperwork with detail and precision.
Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.
Age:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Screenings:
Successful completion of a criminal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
Training:
Must complete Towne Park’s Wheelchair Safety Training course.

Experience:

Six (6) months related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensing:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; able to drive manual transmission.
Language:
Able to speak, read, and write Standard English; able to comprehend simple instructions and compose basic correspondence.
Reasoning:
Must apply reasoning to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions.
Mathematics:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide two‑digit numbers, handle U.S. currency, and understand time and rates.

Authority to Act

The role follows established procedures with frequent checks and verification, making decisions within departmental guidelines while maintaining operational efficiency.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Work is primarily outdoors with exposure to weather extremes; required tasks include walking, climbing, lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, and operating vehicles. The position involves sitting or standing for extended periods, running, and managing equipment.
