As an IT Helpdesk Agent, you'll be the tech hero our team relies on!
What You'll Do:- Provide first-level technical support by handling and resolving Level 1 IT tickets through the help desk system, documenting solutions, and escalating issues when needed.
- Deliver friendly, patient support to staff via phone, email, and in person.
- Set up new employee workstations, including PCs, monitors, phones, and peripherals.
- Install, update, and maintain standard software applications.
- Perform basic hardware replacements and swaps (laptops, desktops, monitors).
- Support the employee lifecycle - onboarding new hires, managing access changes, and assisting with offboarding tasks.
- Complete daily system checks using standard checklists to ensure smooth IT operations.
- Replace printer consumables and coordinate escalation for complex issues.
- Assist the IT Manager with projects, initiatives, and inventory tracking.
- Follow cybersecurity best practices and help staff understand safe computing habits.
- A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and patiently.
- Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Attention to detail and the ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 6 months of customer service experience.
- Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft products is a plus.
- IT-related experience or certifications (such as CompTIA A+) are preferred but not required.
