Job Description:
Centennial School District R-1 is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Specialist to serve as the sole technology lead for our rural PreK–12 school. This is a unique leadership opportunity for someone ready to take ownership of server management, tech support, and systems oversight in a school setting. You’ll play a key role in supporting student and staff devices, maintaining network security, and ensuring smooth technology operations—especially during testing and critical school functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and monitor school servers, network infrastructure, and backups
Provide hands-on technical support for student and staff devices (Windows and Chromebooks)
Manage Google Workspace for Education accounts and devices
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the campus
Support technology needs during state testing and school events
Ensure security protocols, email systems, and internet filtering are up to date
Collaborate with administration and staff to improve tech systems and user experience
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Coursework or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
Familiarity with Windows Server, Google Admin Console, and basic networking
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in educational technology or school IT settings
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Google IT Support
