Consultant – Guidewire Policy Center Developer

Join Deloitte's AI & Engineering team and help leading insurance organizations modernize core operations through Guidewire Policy Center. In this role, you'll support the design, configuration, and extension of Policy Center solutions that enable underwriting, product, and policy administration capabilities for complex insurance environments. You'll work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions while building your consulting, delivery, and Guidewire experience in a collaborative, innovation-focused environment.

As a Consultant – Guidewire Policy Center Developer, you will bring an analytical, and delivery-focused mindset to configure and extend Guidewire Policy Center to support P&C insurance product and underwriting needs. You will work closely with client stakeholders and Deloitte delivery teams to help translate business requirements into Policy Center configuration and technical design, including product model updates, rules and workflows, and Gosu-based extensions.

You will collaborate with teams supporting integrations, data, and adjacent Guidewire components as needed to deliver quality solutions. You will continue to build your Policy Center knowledge, remain open to coaching and feedback, and contribute to the success of the team through strong execution, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years consulting and/or relevant insurance industry experience (P&C, Life & Annuity/Group, Commercial, Specialty)
• 3+ years implementing insurance core platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco, Origami or similar)
• 3 years full lifecycle large-scale implementations (Policy Center, Billing, and/or Claims systems)
• 2 years of experience working in one of the following sub service areas:
  Insurance Products, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, Policy Administration or Distribution
• 1 year experience estimating and planning Large Scale System Implementations
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

• Advanced degree in area of technical specialization
• CPCU, AIC, ARM Certification
• Guidewire Integration or Configuration certification
• 1 year experience with Guidewire Cloud Claims migration
• Experience delivering via an Agile/Scrum methodology
• A strong Java, Gosu (Guidewire), EJB, BPEL, UNIX background
• Experience with Business Process Modeling (BPM) tools, Business rules integration
• Experience with technologies like BEA, Sonic, IBM, Oracle, Apache Service Mix, FuseESB, Camel, Mule etc.
• Strong knowledge and comprehension of standards, specifications, standards bodies (e.g., XML, UDDI, JMS, Web services, etc.)
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,700 to $151,800.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
