Senior. Principal Platform IAC Engineer

Job Overview

Senior Principal Platform IAC Engineer – Lead a small technical team to develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions across hybrid‑cloud environments. Must hold an active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

• Leverage company and industry best practices to assist with deployment, implementation, modernization, and support of IaC solutions.
• Lead a small team of engineers that develop software customization and automation, including deployment of templates, dashboards, and scripts using Ansible Playbooks.
• Lead the integration of the selected platform for container development and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes/Docker).
• Lead the design, architecture, development, and support of build/test pipelines and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability across on‑premise, virtualized, or cloud‑based computing environments.
• Assist engineers with specialized tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices toward the solution.

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, Physics, or another STEM field and a minimum of 10years of related work experience.
• Experience with integration, cloud, Kubernetes, containerization, Infrastructure/Platform as a Service, Linux development, and microservices.
• Experience with Linux system administration (e.g., RHEL
  6.0+).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required on day1; U.S. citizenship required.
• Preferred:
  Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience with application deployments to Kubernetes.
• Experience with Atlassian tool suite, Cucumber, Eclipse, Git.
• Experience with implementing Scaled Agile Frameworks.
• Experience with Ansible automation frameworks.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting CI/CD pipeline tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory).
• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go.
• Experience with Postgres and Sonar Qube.
• General working knowledge of networks, storage, and virtualization.
• Background in COTS/FOSS product installation, configuration, and integration.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain.

Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600.
