IT Business Systems Analyst, Distribution & Logistics

The IT Business Systems Analyst (BSA), Distribution & Logistics, serves as the technical authority and primary architect for the North American logistics and distribution technology stack. This role is responsible for the technical integrity, the administrative backend, and the iterative delivery of system enhancements, while ensuring that all technology investments adhere to AKW & Regional IT Standards and Policies. The position serves as the final decision‑making authority for development, focusing on scalable, architecturally sound solutions that meet operational needs.

• Technical Ownership & Iterative Solution Design
  Serve as the primary technical authority for the logic and administrative backend of the logistics stack, including Infios WMS (formerly Körber), MyLP TMS, SAP, VLM, and Ship Exec.
  Decompose complex business requirements into small, deliverable technical chunks.
  Ensure a constant stream of value through iterative releases, intentionally avoiding high‑risk "big‑bang" deployments.
  Establish Definition of Ready for technical work and define milestones for documentation.
  Lead business stakeholders through discovery to identify technical effort and cost estimates; prepare Statements of Work for 3rd‑party providers.
  Ensure testing is performed in the Test system, documented, and business sign‑off is obtained before production.
• Compliance, Prioritization & Governance Review
  Ensure technology‑related expenditures and development adhere to AKW & Regional IT Standards and Policies.
  Validate that all technical funds align with the combined IT and Business roadmap.
  Determine when formal documentation (ROI, CAR) is required; partner with business counterpart(s).
  Prioritize development sequencing using WSJF methodology based on technical feasibility and business value.
  Serve as owner of all applications within COSOC, maintaining authority over the development process and resource allocation.
• Infrastructure Advocacy & Hardware Oversight
  Act as technical advocate for DC on network performance and monitor IT Support Services.
  Serve as single point of contact for hardware assets required to support systems.
• Advanced Troubleshooting
  Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex application errors, logic failures, and integration issues between the logistics stack and SAP.
• Testing Coordination & Business Partnership
  Partner with business counterparts to provide technical support for all testing initiatives.
  Coordinate functional validation to ensure technical solutions deliver required outcomes.
  Translate requirements during discovery to assess technical effort and cost estimates.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering preferred.
• 4+ years manufacturing IT experience with deep understanding of Operations and Supply Chain processes.
• 4+ years hands‑on experience with third‑party WMS systems (Infios required).
• 2+ years experience with TMS systems (MyLP preferred).
• 2+ years experience with SAP; SAP S/4 experience is a plus.
• 2+ years experience with SQL Databases.
• Strong communication skill to present complex technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Kärcher facilities for projects or team development.
