Job Summary:We are looking for a Senior AWS Developer to join our Integration team. This role focuses on delivering and operating secure, scalable, and resilient AWS serverless services. You will build and support CI/CD automation (Jenkins) and Infrastructure as Code using primarily the Serverless Framework, with exposure to Terraform and AWS CDK. You will enable deployments for Node.js, Java, and Python services, implement strong observability, and apply AWS security best practices while designing for resiliency, DR, and reduced MTTI/MTTR.
Key Responsibilities:- • Design, deliver and operate AWS serverless services using the Serverless Framework (multi-environment configuration, packaging, versioning, safe release strategies).
- • Architect and manage integration services using AWS services such as (not limited to) Lambda, API.
- • Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins for Node.js / Java / Python workloads (build, test, quality gates, security checks, deploy, rollback).
- • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Serverless Framework primarily, with Terraform/AWS CDK for shared/platform resources as needed.
- • Design for reliability and resiliency: incorporating retries with exponential backoff, idempotency, DLQs, circuit breakers, throttling/back pressure controls, and graceful degradation.
- • Define and support DR strategy and reliability targets: RTO/RPO, failover mechanisms, backup/restore, runbooks, and game days.
- • Drive operational excellence initiatives to reduce MTTI/MTTR through enhanced alerting, dashboards, log and trace correlation, runbook automation, and standardized incident response practices.
- • Implement observability using Cloud Watch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWS X-Ray (metrics, logs, traces).
- • Apply AWS security best practices across resource provisioning and operations: least-privilege IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, encryption in transit/at rest, audit logging.
- • Support data-layer operations for Postgre
SQL (RDS/Aurora) and Dynamo
DB, including performance tuning, scaling, backups, and incident troubleshooting. - • Maintain HLD/LLD, operational documentation, and on-call readiness; collaborate via Git Hub (PRs/reviews) and track delivery using Jira.
Skills & Experience:
- • 7+ years of relevant experience in Dev Ops / AWS engineering supporting production systems.
- • Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless architectures and event-driven integration patterns.
- • Strong Jenkins expertise (Pipeline as Code, shared libraries, credentials management, approvals, automated rollback).
- • Strong working knowledge of CI/CD for Node.js, Java, and Python services (build/test/package/release).
- • Good understanding of Python, Shell Scripting.
- • Strong AWS knowledge across:
Lambda, API Gateway, Event Bridge, SQS/SNS, S3, RDS Postgre
SQL, Dynamo
DB, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Cloud Watch, X-Ray. - • Solid understanding of reliability and DR concepts: high availability, fault tolerance, RTO/RPO, backup/restore, failover strategies, and incident management to reduce MTTR.
- • Docker fundamentals (Dockerfiles, image builds, tagging, registries, runtime basics).
- • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills using logs/metrics/traces (Cloud Watch/Dynatrace/Splunk).
Skills:
- • Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK for shared/platform resources and governance baselines.
- • Experience with reliability practices such as game days, post-incident reviews, and continuous resiliency improvements.
- • Familiarity with enterprise integration domains (ERP/SCM/CRM/eCommerce) and order/event processing flows.
Skills:
Dev Ops, AWS engineering- AWS Serverless, Event Driven, Security, Jenkins, Dynatrace, Cloud Watch etc.
SecondarySkills:
Terraform, AWS CDK, Reliability Engg, Exposure to Integration Domains
