We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running for our customers. You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You will collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
Amazon is hiring an Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician to work within infrastructure operations. The role requires working with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next‑generation networks and to help develop innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
Key Job Responsibilities- Move and implement large enterprise equipment
- Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cables between equipment
- Maintain proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation
- Follow well‑established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities
- Use material handling tools and equipment safely
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
- Work in a 24/7 environment, including primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as needed
- Operate in cramped, elevated, and/or noisy environments
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely
This role supports a new data center in various stages of development. You may be assigned to a facility still under construction and may need to travel over 50 miles or commute less than 50 miles to active data center sites for training until your designated site becomes operational. A reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license are required for regional travel.
BasicQualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ years of experience in computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations
- Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)

The starting pay for this position is $27.00 – $48.00 USD per hour (USA, NV, Sparks). Final starting pay will depend on experience, qualifications, and location.
