As a Principal Platform Dev Sec Ops Engineer, you will lead the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of a cloud-based compute, network, and storage infrastructure that supports a critical national asset. You will drive platform modernization, embed security and compliance, and streamline release cycles through Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops practices.
What You Will Do- Architect, design, integrate and support platform and infrastructure environments across build, integration & test, and production stages, ensuring optimal performance, reliability and scalability in cloud-based ecosystems.
- Apply industry and company best practices to enhance scalability, consistency and infrastructure efficiency, reducing deployment time and automating configuration management processes.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists and agile teams to implement resilient and scalable platform solutions.
- Embed security and compliance measures into the platform, including encryption, access management and other compliance services.
- Provide ongoing operational support to maintain platform stability, functionality and performance.
- B.S./B.A. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Physics or related STEM field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in installing, configuring and maintaining Red Hat Linux operating systems.
- Experience designing, implementing and integrating cloud-based systems on AWS.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible and Chef.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation, configuration and system operations.
- Experience troubleshooting performance and infrastructure services on Linux-based systems.
- Strong background managing servers, networks, storage and virtualization technologies.
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
- Experience with AWS services: EC2, EKS, S3, Cloud Watch, IAM, VPC.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Podman and containerization technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab, Artifactory, Helm and configuration management.
- Experience with security scanning tools like Nessus.
- Experience installing, configuring and integrating COTS and FOSS products.
- Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD.
