Principal Platform Dev Sec Ops  Engineer

Onsite position at RTX Facility in Aurora, CO.

This role entails the design, development, implementation, integration, and sustainment of a cloud-based compute, network, and storage infrastructure. The position focuses on platform modernization by incorporating emerging technologies to optimize performance and efficiency. Utilizing Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops  methodologies, tools, and automation, the role streamlines processes, enhances collaboration, and accelerates software release cycles for a large-scale program supporting a critical national asset.

• Contribute to the architecture, design, integration, and support of platform and infrastructure environments across build, integration & test, and production stages.
• Apply industry and company best practices to enhance scalability, consistency, and infrastructure efficiency; reduce deployment time and automate configuration management.
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and agile development teams to design resilient and scalable platform solutions.
• Embed security and compliance measures into the platform, including encryption and access management.
• Provide ongoing operational support to maintain stability, functionality, and performance of the platform.

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Physics, or other STEM disciplines with a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
• Experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of Red Hat Linux operating systems.
• Experience designing, implementing, and integrating cloud-based systems on platforms such as AWS.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Chef.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required on day one; U.S. citizenship required.

• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Experience analyzing performance and troubleshooting applications and infrastructure services on Linux-based operating systems.
• Strong background managing and troubleshooting servers, networks, storage, and virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in developing, testing, and delivering applications within a Dev Sec Ops  framework.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, Cloud Watch, IAM, VPC) and security-focused deployments.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and/or Podman.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git Lab, Helm).
• Programming or scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and system operations.
• Experience with security scanning tools (e.g., Nessus) and installation of COTS/FOSS products.

• Salary range: 107,500 USD – 204,500 USD.
