Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Operations Mission Engineer - Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Aurora, CO. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This position is a highly visible position that includes frequent interactions with customers and working on a diverse team. In this job, you will:
* Supporting integration/coordination within the customer and user communities and the program's operations departments

* Enabling information flow throughout disparate organizations to identify opportunities to leverage system capabilities to solve unique user challenges

* Initiating conceptual studies designed to optimize nominal and emerging utilization of system data process capabilities, and developing techniques to implement these capabilities

* Developing recommendations for addressing operational shortfalls, including improvements for system data processing

* Troubleshooting end-to-end data problems and providing an assessment of and identifying error sources in the end-to-end system, including developing processes and tools to minimize system errors

* Performing ongoing system performance monitoring and investigating unexpected findings

* Supporting system calibrations and system test execution

* Providing an interface to factory subject matter experts for new system deliveries and upgrades

* Providing feedback to factory engineering on operational priorities and objectives in support of ongoing and future development activities

* Must demonstrate ability to work effectively and collaboratively within diverse, cross-functional teams, including partnerships with contract personnel, ensuring seamless integration and shared ownership of objectives. Must be self-motivated, capable of operating under general direction, and adept at independently determining and developing approaches to complex situations.

* While this position typically follows standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), candidates must be prepared to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in response to emergencies or critical operational needs. During such events, employees may be required to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis until the situation is resolved. Flexibility and a commitment to supporting 24/7 operations during emergencies are essential.

* Other duties as assigned This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level
3. Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
* Approved STEM Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience - OR - Approved STEM Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience.

* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance, SCI access, and complete a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination prior to start

* Basic understanding of digital signal processing and communications theory fundamentals

* Excellent written, presentation, coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills

* Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint to execute responsibilities as needed within the role (presentations, internal/external communications, data collection, etc.)

* While this position typically follows standard business hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM), candidates must be prepared to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in response to emergencies or critical operational needs. During such events, employees may be required to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating basis until the situation is resolved.
