Business Analyst - QA Tester
Location: Aurora, Colorado (Onsite)
Salary: $102-120k
Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail‑oriented Business Analyst - Tester to support ongoing Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle Financials) projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring effective project execution, documentation, and communication. This individual will work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to track project progress, gather and analyze requirements, and support decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Requirements Gathering:
Collaborate with stakeholders, financial managers, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for Oracle Federal Financials modules (GL, AP, AR, PO, CE, PA, SLA, Federal Administrator). - Functional Design:
Create and maintain standard Oracle AIM/OUM documentation, specifically Functional Design Documents (MD.050) and Configuration Documents (BR.100). - Test Engineering:
Develop comprehensive Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scripts based on functional requirements and system modifications. - Quality Assurance (QA) & Execution:
Execute manual test scripts across various testing phases (System Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Performance Testing). - UAT Support:
Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with government stakeholders, including tracking defects, triaging issues, and verifying fixes. - Defect Management:
Log, track, and manage software defects using tools such as Jira, Micro Focus ALM, or similar platforms. - Functional Support:
Act as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) to troubleshoot production issues and provide functional guidance to the Oracle EBS Development team.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Engineering, Accounting or related field.
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or QA Tester focused on Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.
Technical
Skills:
Demonstrated functional knowledge of Oracle Federal Financials (OFF) and federal accounting principles (USSGL). Strong experience in writing test scripts, executing tests, and managing defects in a structured Agile/Waterfall environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively translate complex technical concepts to non-technical government stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience working in government contracting or healthcare environments.
- Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with requirements management and project tracking tools (JIRA, Azure Dev Ops, Service Now, etc.).
- Business Analysis and Testing experience in Oracle EBS space with working knowledge of Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, APEX, TOAD/SQL tools etc. Systems Testing, Regression Testing, Interface Testing, Load Testing etc.
