Sr. Supply Chain Manager, China – Adient
We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize supply chain operations for Adient’s China plants.
Job Responsibilities- Execute Global SCM operation procedures in China plants, including PLUS, BOS, AMS, etc.
- Provide governance relating to SCM compliance issues.
- Develop logistic strategies in line with regional requirements.
- Support China operational sites MP&L & Planning teams on implementation of standard business processes.
- Monitor and be a part of Adient’s Supplier Sustainability approach.
- Lead / suggest improvement activities with pants, drive / support and monitor as required.
- Lead the China supply chain engineering activity in the design and standardization of supply chain systems and processes regarding how Adient will acquire and deliver materials to internal processes and external customers.
- Develop data and submit information into quote packs for new business opportunities.
- Drive and promote best practice for supply chain planning, including packaging, transportation, warehouse management, inventory management, logistics systems among China plants.
- Support China plants to coordinate all resources to guarantee supply and delivery.
- Track and report KPI performance in China plants.
- Build good networks with plant supply chain teams & key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge in supply chain planning.
- Minimum 10–15 years proven experience in a similar role within a high-volume manufacturing environment (Process Engineering / Materials Flow / Time & Motion).
- Experience in managing complex teams / problem solving.
- Understanding of lean concepts and proven experience in the application thereof.
- Good supply chain, planning and organizing skills with an orientation toward detail.
- Manage supply chain management activities across China JVs – multiple suppliers, customers, products and processes.
- Strong analytical problem‑solving skills to determine root causes of issues, propose and oversee implementation of corrective action.
- Excellent communication; strong influential leadership skills.
- Fluent in English & Chinese (both writing and speaking).
- MRP/EDI/ASN & QAD/SAP system implementation experience is preferred.
