Job Description

The Spirit of the Position:

The Maintenance department is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots, ensuring they are maintained and cleaned daily. They also interface with customers, handle disputes, and communicate effectively between departments, co-workers, customers, and clients.

Principal

Job Duties:
  • Ensure assigned areas are maintained and cleaned daily.
  • Repair walls, change light bulbs, paint and other maintenance projects
  • Perform light maintenance repair tasks
  • Monitoring supplies and equipment condition>
  • Responsible for general maintenance of the garage and surface lots – sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting, etc.
  • Conduct regular checking of the garages and surface lots. Report and identify maintenance and janitorial needs
  • Assist with snow removal and management of winter upkeep (managing sidewalks and garages).
  • Operate garage/floor sweeper and scrubber to ensure clean and safe floors.
  • Responsible for ensuring all daily duties assigned on the maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Must be able to drive company vehicles during shift to access assigned locations.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Possess light maintenance & repair skills
  • Willingness to be flexible and work multiple facility locations
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task and work unsupervised.
  • Must be able to clear and airport badging requirements.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record.
  • Must meet required speaking and listening skills assessment level
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices.
  • Excellent attendance and on time
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
Physical Demands:
  • Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Experience:
  • Experience with general facility maintenance required.
  • Experience in customer relations.
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • You may need a valid driver's license to operate maintenance vehicles.
