Sr Maintenance Technician- Apres

Apres Apartments in Aurora, CO is looking for a full-time, Senior Maintenance Technician!

The Senior Maintenance Technician will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager or Regional Maintenance Director. In the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Senior Maintenance Technician will assume all maintenance responsibilities including, but not limited to, customer service and helping with the cleanliness and marketability of the community.

• Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to assure maintenance personnel are available for emergency purposes, 24 hours a day/7 days a week.
• Inspect “market ready” vacancies daily to ensure cleanliness.
• Keep the physical property throughout the community and immediately correct unsafe conditions.
• Communicate with residents on any pending items and/or status of completed service requests to ensure satisfaction. Also communicates with the Maintenance Supervisor and office staff on any outstanding issues.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventive maintenance, service requests, expenditures, apartment make-ready status, work in progress, etc.
• Change locks and keys.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent maintenance-related fieldwork.
• Ability to interact professionally and efficiently with prospects, residents, staff, and management.
• Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems (heat pump experience a plus), swimming pools, landscaping, and cleaning.
• Applicants must furnish their own tools and have transportation to pick up replacement parts and supplies from vendors.
• The applicant must be CPO certified. Applicant must have an EPA approved certification.
• Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) preferred. Willing to obtain CAMT if requested by management.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders and stairs, walking between buildings and on roofs, stooping, kneeling, and bending; hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Familiar with and adhere to OSHA guidelines to ensure team safety.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Achieve Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents.
• Ability to travel to pick up replacement parts and supplies from vendors.
• Drug and background screening may be required.
• Other duties as required.

• Work hours:
  
  40+ hours per week; evenings, weekends, and on-call hours as needed.
• Hourly pay range: $29-$30.
