Position Overview
Loch Harbour Group is seeking a Dorm Maintenance Worker to support the maintenance and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems, particularly in dormitory facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience performing routine and emergency maintenance, preventive maintenance (PM), and repairs on Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE).
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and emergency repairs on dormitory infrastructure.
- Address maintenance requests according to emergency, urgent, and routine response time requirements.
- Utilize work order management systems (e.g., Nex Gen) to track and complete maintenance tasks.
- Conduct repairs and replacements for ceiling tiles, outlet and switch plates, door handles, and knobs.
- Replace HVAC filters to ensure proper air circulation and energy efficiency.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs, including toilet, urinal, and sink maintenance.
- Replace light bulbs and other basic electrical fixtures as needed.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and building maintenance codes.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in maintenance and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.
- Requires a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Active Secret clearance required OR Ability to obtain a clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
- Familiarity with work order management systems (e.g., Nex Gen).
- Ability to analyze maintenance issues and execute effective repair solutions.
- Understanding of response and completion time requirements for maintenance requests.
Ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in dormitory or residential facility maintenance.
- HVAC or plumbing certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and best practices in maintenance operations.
