The hiring range for this position is $83,108.00 -$/annually

The Crisis Intervention Program Administrator will work in an environment of high demand to oversee the City of Aurora Crisis Response Programs: the Aurora Mobile Response Team, Aurora Police Department’s Crisis Response Team, and their Targeted Violence Prevention Program. This role will oversee all program operations in collaboration with leadership from the Aurora Police Department and clinical service providers.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversees day-to-day operations of all Crisis Programs
- Supervises Crisis Programs Data Analyst and ensures the accurate delivery of program statistics and outcomes.
- Assists in budget planning and management for all programs to include federal grant programs and city general funds in consultation with Aurora Police Department chain of command and Housing and Community Services leadership.
- Assists in communicating program updates and strategic plans with executive level staff, elected officials, and media personnel.
- Coordinates response to on-demand requests from elected officials, City and Public Safety leadership, and community members.
- Administers professional service agreements with contracted service providers and holds contractors accountable to ensure adequate and effective service provision.
- Assists in the development of programmatic regulations, policy, procedures, and program schedules in partnership with the Intervention Programs Division Manager, Clinical Supervisor, and CRT Sergeant as it relates to the programs.
- Regularly evaluates program efficacy through program data collection and feedback from stakeholders, staff, and community members.
- Provides training to educate the community, City of Aurora staff, first responders, and other relevant groups on the Crisis Programs mission, operations, and outcomes.
- Manages requirements of grant funding reporting and deliverables.
- Assists in the regular evaluation and subsequent updates strategic plans for all crisis programs.
- Provides regular status and data reports to City Council, Aurora Police Department Chain of Command, Department Directors, and other stakeholders.
- Serves as liaison between contracted partner agencies, the City of Aurora, the Aurora Police Department and Aurora Fire Rescue.
- Builds networks and acts as the bridge between the department, community, City Officials, advisory groups, other governmental agencies, and others as appropriate to develop and maintain effective partnerships.
- Attends relevant meetings to include weekly team meetings, program leadership meetings, regional and/or statewide co-responder program meetings, and other stakeholder-collaboration meetings as a representative of the City of Aurora Crisis Programs.
- Provides support and guidance to programs staff to include clinicians, EMTs, and officers regarding program operations, interpersonal conflicts, clinical guidance, and case consultation.
- Serves as the internal subject matter expert and consultant on crisis intervention, CRS 27-65 behavioral health statute, information sharing protocols, and co-responder programming for effective development of policies, directives, and staff training.
- Responds to requests for consultation, service provision or guidance regarding community members.
- Consults with legal and risk management staff within Housing and Community Services and the Aurora Police Department on policies, procedures, and other appropriate instances as it relates to the Crisis Programs.
- Coordinates mental health related training for programs staff, City of Aurora staff, and the community.
- Maintains communication with contracted external research and evaluation partners.
- Coordinates with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies and other behavioral threat assessment organizations to ensure the following of leading practices within the CRT's Targeted Violence Prevention Program
