Falck Rocky Mountain is seeking a Paramedic Operations Supervisor to lead frontline EMS operations in Aurora, Colorado.

Compensation

$80,000 - $87,000 per year

Falck is a global emergency medical services organization serving communities across Denmark, Europe, and the United States. In Colorado, we respond to more than 48,000 calls annually, primarily providing 911 ALS and BLS services for the City of Aurora and Buckley Space Force Base.

Working alongside Aurora Fire Rescue, our team consistently exceeds state and national benchmarks for cardiac arrest survival and is proud to be one of only six Colorado ambulance services accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS).

Position Summary

The Operations Supervisor provides frontline leadership and daily EMS operations. This position is responsible for workforce supervision, operational readiness, resource deployment, employee coaching, and maintaining strong relationships with public safety and healthcare partners while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Essential Functions

The Operations Supervisor may be assigned one or more duties. These duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Leadership
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional, and courteous demeanor towards all Falck customers, patients and personnel.
  • Develop and mentor personnel.
  • Foster accountability and professional development.
  • Lead by example through visible field leadership.
  • Promote employee engagement and positive organizational culture.
Administrative
  • Participate in the implementation of goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to local and company Policies and Procedures within established guidelines.
  • Ensure personnel comply with goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and documentation and billing requirements.
  • Conducts workplace investigations, provides coaching and counseling, documents a situational summary or disciplinary actions, and ensures employees understand performance expectations and organizational standards.
  • Participate in required meetings, training, and continuing education.
  • Address employee conflicts.
  • Investigate, document, and report any possible or confirmed risk of company liabilities.
  • Promote safety within the organization.
  • Maintain familiarity with all vendors and contracts or support organizations to continue fluent operations.
  • Manage and communicate with the General Manager, Dispatch and Scheduling to ensure the daily deployment is updated and accurate while being mindful of expensive hours.
  • Keep Management informed of operational issues, staffing concerns, and significant incidents.
Operations
  • Provide overall supervision of field operations, personnel, fleet readiness, and partner relationships while making real-time operational decisions to support service delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate the successful launch and recovery of ambulances and personnel in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate equipment and supply readiness for all oncoming and on-duty units.
  • Coordinate movement of resources to the fleet department for repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Communicate any unit mechanical issues on an equipment problem/failure report.
  • Coordinate special event instructions, paperwork and equipment with the appropriate crews.
  • Sign in/out any specialized equipment and follow up on its location when necessary.
  • Ensure station facilities and parking areas remain clean, organized, and operational.
  • Maintain check out sheets to comply with the local EMS requirements.
  • Dispenses controlled narcotics and other medications.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
