Description

Position Purpose
  • Assist the Branch Manager in the functions of branch operations and production to achieve established credit union growth, sales and service targets for branch location while maintaining highest levels of member service, production quality and compliance.
  • Assist with business/community development efforts organizationally, supporting branch growth in your market area.
  • Ability to perform all functions of the branch in absence of Branch Manager and branch employees
  • Be aware of the requirements of BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Regulation CC as it pertains to their daily job duties to ensure staff is well trained on the regulation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Branch Operations
  • Provide support and on the spot coaching daily to branch staff. Advise MSR’s/ASR’s in handling member’s needs and transactions, and handle member escalations when necessary.
  • Ensure that all MSR/ASR activities are carried out within procedure and policy guidelines. Inform employees of policy changes and updates. Notify branch manager of all employee negligence and errors. Resolve disputes, imbalances and member service issues to completion.
  • Receive and process members’ financial transactions on computer system. Perform MSR, ASR duties when required
  • Answer members’ inquiries and council members with problems that cannot be resolved by branch personnel.
  • Help MSRs balance cash drawers and any other out of balance situations.
  • Maintain records of MSR/ASR errors such as overages, shortages, posting and balancing errors.
  • Balance ATM and cash machines.
  • Responsible for ordering cash and balancing branch daily.
  • Responsible for closing and/or opening branch. Resetting alarm if it goes off after business hours. Ensure security procedures/policies are consistently in effect.
  • Ensure all required branch audits are conducted in a timely fashion and in compliance with security requirements.
  • Ensure the highest degree of branch compliance with security measures in all functional areas.
  • Ensure all branch equipment is fully functional
Branch Production
  • Assist manager with strategizing and implementing tactics to support production requirements.
  • Visit SEG and provide support to community events.
  • Supervise branch in the absence of the manager
Other
  • Implement/monitor/coach sales initiatives.
  • Train new staff.
  • Counsel, Coach, Scorecard & monitor cash staff.
  • Ensure accuracy of Check 21 and checks balance to Symitar totals.
  • Performs other duties as directed or needed by branch manager.
  • Ensure adequate scheduling or staff.
  • Provide optimal service to membership.
Business/Community Development
  • Assist with the development and management of select employee groups (SEGs) assigned to the branch/market area.
  • Prospect new SEG and small business partners within market area. Conduct research and obtain contact information for presentation. Manage small business relationship, developing opportunity for membership growth.
  • Participate in community and networking events, providing brand awareness and business development opportunities.
Miscellaneous
  • Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to within the branch and amongst the staff.
  • Monitor, review and make recommendations for functional area policies and process. Ensure compliance issues in areas of responsibilities.
  • Responsible for keeping direct manager informed of operations, conditions and influencing factors.
  • Track and coach to branch performance, reporting information as assigned.
  • Maintains acceptable levels of attrition in each functional area.
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
  • Ongoing cross training and coaching of all team members.

Requirements

Requirements Education or Formal Training
  • College degree or equivalent training/work experience requiring strong knowledge of management techniques and financial products and services.
Experience
  • At least three years financial service experience.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range - $55,970+ annually depending upon experience
