We are searching for a passionate and agile Folder/Gluer Operator who considers themselves a problem‑solver and is excited by challenges. You must have folder‑gluer experience in folding carton to be considered for this role. As an Operator in the Finishing Department, you will set up and run folder‑gluer machines to produce cartons that meet customer specifications, maintain equipment, track the production schedule, issue special instructions to Packers, and enter job information into the Radius computer program.
You will also communicate and resolve quality issues with QA and the Finishing Lead/Manager.

- Read and understand work instructions in job ticket/job bag.
- Follow the production schedule.
- Locate stock, loads, and perform loading and stacking by size, shape, and quantity to support machine efficiency.
- Keep the machine and surrounding area clean and free of debris or hazards.
- Perform weekly/monthly TPM tasks and report any broken or worn parts on folder‑gluer machines to lead/manager.
- Operate the folder‑gluer machine to produce products that conform with Mill Rock’s quality specifications.
- Set up the machine, run initial quantities to demonstrate production capability.
- Perform quality checks as required and report non‑conforming cartons to the Finishing Manager.
- Meet monthly and quarterly efficiency goals by exceeding established production and quality standards.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute rates, ratios, and percentages. - Reasoning:

Basic use of computer to read instructions, record job data, follow schedule, and communicate via email. - Technical Capacity:

- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Perform a variety of tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Respond to changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
- 3‑5 years of folding equipment experience or training.
- Experience in folding carton and SFL carton industry.
- Experience with any of the following machines:
- Bobst Expert fold folder/gluer
- Bobst Fuego folder/gluer
- American International Signature folder/gluer
- Alpina folder/gluer
- Domino folder/gluer
- Standing/Walking:
Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8‑12 hours per shift). - Lifting/Carrying:
Regularly lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. - Repetitive Motions:
Frequent use of hands and arms for machine operation and material handling. - Visual/Manual:
Read gauges, measure materials, perform quality checks.
- Temperature:
Seasonal variations in a manufacturing environment. - Noise Level: Moderate to high; hearing protection provided.
- Safety Gear: PPE such as safety glasses and gloves.
- Other Factors:
Occasional exposure to dust, ink, or chemicals used in production.
Full‑time position; standard schedule is 1st shift (4:00AM–2:00PM) or 2nd shift (2:00PM–12:00AM), Monday through Thursday with occasional overtime as needed.
