The Opportunity

CACI is looking for a Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to work closely with a talented team to deliver a complex software application into operations. As a MBSE, you will play a critical role in the development and integration of software systems by applying model-based approaches to define, analyze, and manage system requirements and designs in an Agile software development context.

This position emphasizes the use of digital engineering practices and tools (such as SysML and Dassault Cameo System modeler) to capture and manage system models, enabling improved traceability, integration, and validation of system requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, test engineers, and program managers, to ensure consistency across disciplines and alignment with customer expectations.

  • Support trade studies, system decomposition, and design reviews with digital artifacts.
  • Provide technical direction and requirement transparency across development teams
  • Performing requirements management including requirements creation, tracking, flow down, coverage, verification tracking, compliance matrices, etc.
  • Developing test procedures to formally verify system requirements for sell off events
  • Decomposing system requirements and collaborating with multi-disciplined, distributed teams to generate efficient and scalable solutions
  • Supporting the development, implementation, and verification of mission capabilities
  • Participating in the development and execution of program milestones events such as Customer meetings, internal and formal Government testing events, and discrepancy report (DR) review boards
  • Conducting testing events of software solutions and generating Test result documentation
Qualifications

Required:

  • 5 years of professional experience working in systems engineering with at least 1 year applying Model Based Systems Engineering principles
  • Proficiency with MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM Rhapsody, or Enterprise Architect
