PROCESS TECHNICIAN II
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team of injection molding specialists at Nordson Medical, a global leader in Interventional and Surgical Solutions.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate injection molding machines (IMM) in a high-volume, high-material-mix environment to manufacture medical and industrial components.
- Create and modify molding machine parameters/processes from existing or documented conditions to produce quality products.
- Install pre-assembled molds and remove them from designated injection molding machines, and set up appropriate ancillary equipment to support successful injection molding.
- Record dimensional and visual part inspection data and observations into the ERP system.
- Establish highly repeatable decoupled molding processes with machine control functionality, ensuring consistent processing parameters for unattended manufacturing.
- Perform start‑up activities, including swapping feed tubes or changing material storage hoppers as scheduled.
- Maximize clamp and ejector functions and determine settings using AI clamp and ejector functionality where available.
- Operate and/or program ancillary equipment to support production processes.
- Create optimized process parameters using relative viscosity curves, gate freeze studies, and other tools to enhance quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance personnel to establish appropriate material processing parameters and achieve the highest quality parts possible.
- Maintain overall cleanliness of machines and surrounding work areas.
- Associate's degree preferred with knowledge of the plastics industry.
- 2‑5 years of experience operating injection molding machines.
- Proficiency with standard measuring/inspection devices (micrometer, gauge pins, microscope, caliper, optical inspection equipment).
- Understanding of ISO 9001 concepts.
- Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) concepts.
- Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and technical procedures.
- Basic mathematical skills for unit conversions, rate, ratio, and percent calculations, and graph interpretation.
- Strong analytical skills: define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Shift2nd shift – 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM, Monday – Thursday (includes $1.00 shift differential).
Compensation and Benefits- Pay: $26 /hour.
