CNC Mill & Lathe Operator

Location:

Aurora, CO 80011

Shift

Schedule:

M-F, 7:00AM - 3:30PM

Pay: $28-35/hr., Depending on Experience

Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire (Fast-track to Permanent)

Experience:

Minimum 1 Year of relevant Machinist/CNC experience. A core function of the manufacturing process, the CNC Mill & Lathe Operator will be responsible for ensuring our client produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards.

CNC Mill & Lathe Operator Responsibilities:
  • Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding, lathe, and milling.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and requirements into dimensions for production.
  • Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
  • Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results and production efficiency.
  • Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
  • Provide timelines to Production Manager.
  • Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
  • Ensure that results of machining process align with Engineering and Quality expectations.
  • Conduct regular CNC Preventative Maintenance assessments.
CNC Mill & Lathe Operator Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate or diploma in engineering is a plus.
  • Experience as a CNC machine operator is required.
  • Ability to translate/interpret mechanical documents and engineering drawings.
  • Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.
  • Strong comprehension and analytical skills.
  • Good computer and mathematical skills.
