About Rocky Mountain Welcome Center

Rocky Mountain Welcome Center (RMWC) is an immigrant-led nonprofit organization that fosters intercultural learning, understanding, and integration among immigrants, refugees, and Colorado residents. Through programs supporting mental health, youth, education, legal navigation, and community integration, RMWC serves more than 2,000 individuals each year.

RMWC has built a strong foundation of grant funding and community partnerships. We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead our fundraising growth by expanding individual philanthropy, strengthening donor relationships, and overseeing all aspects of the organization’s development program.

The Development Manager will serve as RMWC’s fundraising leader and coordinate the organization’s day-to-day development activities. Working closely with the Executive Director, this position will focus primarily on growing individual and major donor giving while overseeing donor stewardship, grants, fundraising communications, development operations, and donor engagement events.

This is an opportunity to help shape the fundraising strategy of a growing organization and see firsthand how philanthropy creates meaningful change for immigrant and refugee families.

• Develop and implement strategies to grow individual giving and major gifts.
• Build, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with individual and major donors.
• Identify new donor prospects and create long-term cultivation strategies.
• Partner with the Executive Director on major donor meetings and solicitations.
• Develop annual giving campaigns and strengthen donor engagement.
• Ensure donors receive meaningful stewardship and timely recognition.

• Partner with the Executive Director to develop and implement the annual fundraising plan.
• Manage the fundraising calendar, priorities, and development operations.
• Maintain accurate donor information in Salesforce.
• Track fundraising metrics and prepare reports for leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Recommend strategies to improve fundraising performance and diversify revenue.

• Oversee the organization’s grant portfolio.
• Supervise and coordinate grant writers and consultants.
• Write grant proposals when appropriate and prepare grant reports.
• Identify and prioritize grant opportunities in partnership with the Executive Director.
• Help steward relationships with foundation funders.
• Track grant applications, reporting requirements, and deadlines.

• Lead fundraising communications and donor messaging across media platforms.
• Manage the production of the annual report.
• Oversee newsletters, fundraising appeals, and donor stewardship materials.
• Coordinate external communications vendors and consultants.
• Work with program staff to translate program outcomes into compelling stories.

• Plan and execute donor cultivation lunches, house gatherings, and community engagement events.
• Coordinate invitations, logistics, follow-up, and donor stewardship.
• Develop corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.

• Strong commitment to RMWC’s mission and the immigrant and refugee communities we serve.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
