Hourly Wage Estimate: $43.57 - $62.29 / hour
Sign On Bonus: $20,000 available to eligible new hires.
Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
As an Operating Room Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN) you will work under the general supervision of the unit’s director and assume responsibility for the direction and coordination of all functions in the OR Department on your designated shifts. You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care to patients and to provide direction and supervision to other staff caring for patients.
Responsibilities- Serve as a resource person and liaison between the specialty team members, other staff members, surgeons, and vendors.
- Assist with the overall management of patient care in the OR, supervise all staff, assist with performance evaluations, counseling and coaching of staff, hiring, and day-to-day operational supervision.
- Ensure department compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies.
- Work closely with other Clinical Nurse Coordinators to ensure that surgical procedures performed by specialty team members or other surgery staff members are thoroughly prepared prior to surgery.
- Verify the accuracy of preference cards and the OR schedule.
- Work closely with the surgery schedulers to streamline and verify the flow of the OR schedule.
- This position requires call.
- Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- ACLS and PALS certification.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Two (2) years of acute care experience as an Operating Room (OR) RN.
- Previous charge nurse/service coordinator experience.
