Travel Oncology Registered Nurse - Aurora, Colorado

Work alongside a team of dedicated oncology professionals on a dynamic blood cancer unit known for compassionate patient care and award-winning performance. This contract opportunity is geared toward experienced RN professionals seeking a collaborative environment specializing in oncology and hematology. With 18 beds and a staff committed to excellence, the unit offers opportunities for professional growth in a fast-paced, supportive setting.

Schedule:

• Night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to oncology/hematology patients with complex medical needs
• Administer a variety of medications, blood, and electrolyte replacements according to physician orders
• Monitor and interpret telemetry for patients with acute hematology issues
• Support and educate patients and families navigating cancer treatment
• Assist with unit-specific procedures such as lumbar puncture, bone marrow biopsy, and thoracentesis
• Adhere to strict safety protocols when handling hazardous drugs

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 1 year recent acute care oncology nursing experience
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR and Alaris infusion systems

Preferred Experience:

• Chemo and biotherapy certification
• Step-down or high acuity experience
• Demonstrated compassion for oncology and chronic patient populations
