All Points North (APN) is seeking a licensed RN to join our PRN Pool at our Denver, CO facility. This position focuses on providing compassionate, high-quality care in a behavioral health and wellness setting. Shift availability will vary and may include both weekdays and weekends. A minimum of 24 to 36 worked hours per month is required.
Broad Statement of ResponsibilitiesA registered nurse (RN) is a vital member of the healthcare team responsible for providing direct patient care, promoting health, preventing illness, and assisting patients in managing their health conditions. The job description of a registered nurse typically includes the following responsibilities:
QualificationsEducation: This position requires a bachelor’s degree or associate degree in nursing. Must also possess a nursing license in the state of Colorado. CARN certification preferred but not required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred but not required. Preferred experience in behavioral health.
Special Skills & Knowledge: Candidates should have the following skills and attributes: must be able to work and communicate well with people; be adaptable, and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.
Physical Requirements- Routine mobility includes standing, stooping, bending, lifting, walking and running.

- Patient Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including physical, emotional, and psychological factors. - Care Planning:
Develop individualized care plans based on the assessment findings, incorporating patient preferences, medical history, and healthcare goals. - Medication Administration:
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage, proper administration techniques, and monitoring for adverse reactions. - Patient
Education:
Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health outcomes and prevent complications. - Monitoring Vital Signs:
Monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation, to assess their physiological status and detect any abnormalities. - Clinical Procedures:
Perform various clinical procedures, such as wound care, IV therapy, and specimen collection, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety and comfort. - Collaborative Care:
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and pharmacists, to coordinate patient care and facilitate interdisciplinary communication. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHRs) or other medical record systems, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements. - Advocacy:
Advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive high-quality, compassionate care that respects their dignity and autonomy. - Crisis Intervention:
Respond to emergencies and crises promptly, implementing appropriate interventions to stabilize patients' conditions and ensure their safety. - Quality Improvement:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care processes, outcomes, and safety within the healthcare facility. - Professional Development:
Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities to stay abreast of advances in nursing practice, evidence-based guidelines, and regulatory changes.
