Overview
University of Colorado College of Nursing is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefit‑enrolled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide integrated primary care at the Community Health Clinic on the Anschutz Medical Campus. This is a clinic‑based faculty position within the IRC‑Clinical Series, Clinical Practice Track that combines direct patient care with clinical precepting and leadership/service responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities- Serves as a primary care provider for the clinic's patient population.
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, follow‑up, and consultation.
- Performs outpatient primary care procedures within scope of practice.
- Maintains procedural competency and adheres to evidence‑based practice standards, documentation requirements, and informed consent processes.
- Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Functions as a clinical preceptor for advanced practice nursing students.
- Actively participates in clinic marketing, outreach, and patient recruitment efforts.
This role is expected to work onsite at our Community Health Clinic in Aurora, Colorado.

- Instructor of Clinical Practice:
- Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Current Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Current RN and APN licensures in good standing (any state). May be working toward CO clinical licenses during application process and registered with DORA. Must have CO licensures by date of hire.
- Current Prescriptive Authority (RxN) licensure (Any State)
- Must have Colorado RxN license by date of hire.
- Current DEA license
- Minimum of one year Advance Practice experience as an FNP
- Sr. Instructor of Clinical Practice:
- Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Current Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Current RN and APN licensures in good standing (any state). May be working toward CO clinical licenses during application process and registered with DORA. Must have CO licensures by date of hire.
- Current Prescriptive Authority (RxN) licensure (Any State)
- Must have Colorado RxN license by date of hire.
- Current DEA license
- Minimum of one year Advance Practice experience as an FNP
- A record of demonstrated effectiveness in clinical practice, collegial collaboration, and commitment to a program of scholarship to qualify for the rank of Sr. Instructor.
- Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice:
- Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- Current Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
- Current RN and APN licensures in good standing (any state). May be working toward CO clinical licenses during application process and registered with DORA. Must have CO licensures by date of hire.
- Current Prescriptive Authority (RxN) licensure (Any State)
- Must have Colorado RxN license by date of hire.
- Current DEA license
- Minimum of one year Advance Practice experience as an FNP
- A record of demonstrated effectiveness in clinical practice, collegial collaboration, and commitment to a program of scholarship to qualify for the rank of Assistant Professor.
- Clinical experience in a family or primary care setting.
- Prior experience working in an academic or teaching environment.
