Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora - CO

Department: UCHA Transition Specialties Unit

Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days – 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM

Note:

This position is part of a two-person LPN staffing model. The LPNs will coordinate their self-schedules to help ensure coverage is maintained each day.

Pay: $26.34 – $40.82 per hour, dependent on applicant's relevant experience

This position is onsite and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.

Work nights, earn more – our Night Shift Incentive Program pays $1,600 quarterly ($6,400 yearly) to full-time night shift RNs and LPNs.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Practical or Vocational Nursing program.
  • State licensure as a Practical Nurse (LPN) or Vocational Nurse (LVN).
  • BLS or CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date; card must be good through sixty days of hire.
LPN Role

As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, LPN provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provides flexible support throughout the unit, including patient observation coverage and assistance with medication passes, admissions, activities of daily living, and other delegated patient care needs; may take a patient assignment as needed based on unit needs.
  • Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
  • Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living: personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient status and reactions to interventions.
