About the role

You will support the Plasma Center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) reporting to the Plasma Center Manager.

  • Determine donor eligibility, manage informed consent, conduct medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
  • Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
  • Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including standing orders and transport to emergency care.
  • Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings requiring medical or technical guidance.
  • Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
  • Manage employee incidents and determine evaluation needs under occupational health/EHS guidance.
  • Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support investigations related to pandemic threats.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or graduation from a recognized nursing program with state requirements.
  • Current state license or certification as LPN or LVN.
  • Current CPR and AED certification.
  • Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
  • Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Location & Compensation

USA – CO – Aurora

Hourly wage range: $28.16 – $38.72 (actual wage depends on experience, skills, education, certifications, location, and applicable minimum wage).
